What is the dating scene like in the Philippines? How is it different from dating in the U.S?

I am interested in finding out what the dating scene is like in the Philippines. Is it totally different from the U.S.?

What is a good conversation starter? Would you use a pick up line or anything like that or is it just better to just be yourself? I’m talking about the dating scene in a place like Greenbelt in Makati or any of the clubs in Global City.
